Not sure if I can call this a page. It's really short.

I'll try to keep the updates coming, but there are two things I need anyone who reads this to understand.
1) I'm busy. I'm a senior, which means college applications. I'm taking three AP courses. It's marching band season. I pretty much don't have any time whatsoever.
2) More importantly, writing something like this takes insane stamina. Last time I wrote a full-length book, I pretty much had to force myself to keep going after a certain point. I'm getting to that stage again. The story just loses it's excitement. And this particular story is even worse. It's LONG. It has several characters that I want to get in depth into and several subplots. In addition, I have several flaws as a writer, and after seeing those consistantly coming up, it's hard to keep gioing. My vision for this story is not matching the reality, and I know that it never will, and that makes it difficult to keep going. So please forgive me if the updates randomly stop one day. I may end up just emailing pages to one or two friends instead of posting something online--let me know if you'd want that.
 

This post is for anyone wondering what has happened to this site.  Quite simply, it died, and there are a couple reasons for this.

1. I'm just not interested in the story now.  Editing is a drag.  I came home tired from camp and found I just didn't have the desire to work on it.
2. I have another writing project that I'm currently fairly deep into that I'm a lot more excited about.
3. Only one person is reading and leaving comments.  That gives the impression that not many people actually care about this story.
4. SitA was bad.  The writing style was much too terse; there were too many subplots that made the story convoluted later on; and the story jumped around too often.  Those are only a few problems SitA had.  It would take a lot of work to fix it, work that I just don't want to put in right now.

I still love SitA.  It was the first novel I ever finished and so is pretty close to my heart.  And there were a few good things about it.  I just don't think it has much of a future.

As for the future of this site, there are a few options, and at this moment only God knows what I'll choose.  I'll either:

1. Never post here again.
2. Finish my current project (tentatively titled Empowered) and then post that.
3. Post Empowered here after finished and editing the first 50 pages or so. 

I'm leaning toward #3, though #1 is also likely.  #2 is what I did with SitA, and it didn't work, so that probably won't happen.  Whatever happens, I'll post in a couple of months to let you all know.  I'll also post on my lj, in an email to people I know in real life, maybe Facebook (if I'm posting a story and I want new readers) and probably a few other places, so don't feel a need to obsessively check this.

I'm sorry to anyone who liked SitA, and hope if I post another project, you'll be able to forgive me and read again.  I'll see you in a few months! 
 

And here's the page, though a bit belated.  It contains the first use of the title in the story, and a revelation that really shouldn't be too surprising.  Also, 10th page, which is kind of landmarky, I guess.  Party.
